View Article  Scotland & Ireland in Friend Provident Trophy
Should Scotland & Ireland really be in the FTP Trophy competition? For me its a resounding NO. Neither side will qualify for sure. Its unfair on the counties that dont have them in the regional group as they are trying to qualify from the group with effectively one more team. Yes I know the Scots had a freak win against Lancs but lets leave them playing the might of Denmark & Canada please in future.

View Article  Essex stuff Surrey in FPT

Good to see the Essex boys give those Surrey Brown Pants a good whipping on their own turf. Essex managed a new club record high limited overs total of 391/5 who replied with a lame 235 all out with only Ramprakash giving us any fightback (why could he never do that for England though?). Captain Pettini after 3 successives ducks amassed 144 from 120 balls and Jason Gallian 117 from 116 were the main run scorers. Masters tooks 5-17 in Surreys effort.

In a bizarre twist SKY TV was NOT actually showing the Surrey game for a change!
